    Ethics Infotech is seeking a highly skilled Purchase Manager with 5+ years of experience in – Computer Equipment, Peripherals & Accessories to lead strategic sourcing and procurement for our department. This individual will bring complete, subject-matter-expert-level knowledge of computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories categories, OEM ecosystems, and distributor networks, and will be accountable for optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO), strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring uninterrupted equipment availability across the organization's technology and project portfolios. This is a high-visibility role requiring strategic thinking, deep technical fluency, and strong commercial negotiation capability.

Role & Responsibilities

    Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

         Own end-to-end category management for computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories — desktops, laptops, servers, networking infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls), storage systems, peripherals, and embedded/automation equipment components

         Develop and execute category-specific sourcing strategies aligned with organizational technology roadmaps and project pipelines

         Build and continuously optimize a diversified, resilient supplier ecosystem across OEMs, authorized distributors, and system integrators

         Monitor global and domestic computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories market trends, product lifecycle transitions, and end-of-life (EOL)/end-of-support (EOS) timelines to inform proactive sourcing decisions

    OEM & Distributor Relationship Management

         Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with leading computer equipment OEMs (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Cisco, and equivalent tier-1 manufacturers) and their authorized channel partners

         Negotiate partner-level pricing, volume discounts, rebate structures, and preferred-partner agreements

         Evaluate and onboard new vendors through a structured supplier qualification and due-diligence process

         Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers to align on performance, pricing, and roadmap

    Technical Evaluation & Specification Management

         Maintain comprehensive, current knowledge of computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories specifications, interoperability standards, and configuration requirements across product categories

         Partner cross-functionally with IT, engineering, and project teams to translate infrastructure and project requirements into precise technical purchase specifications

         Lead technical and commercial bid evaluations to ensure full compliance with specification, quality, and performance requirements

    Commercial Negotiation & Cost Optimization

         Lead competitive bidding processes (RFQ/RFP/RFI) and structured negotiations to secure optimal pricing, warranty terms, and AMC/support agreements

         Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction through bulk procurement strategies, distributor incentive programs, and OEM partnership benefits

         Deliver measurable, sustained cost savings and cost-avoidance outcomes against annual procurement budgets

         Conduct continuous price benchmarking and market intelligence to maintain competitive sourcing positions

    Procure-to-Pay (P2P) & ERP Operations

         Own the full procure-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle for computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories — requisition, purchase order issuance, goods receipt (GRN), invoice reconciliation, and closure

         Ensure procurement transactions are accurately maintained within the ERP system (Odoo or equivalent) with full audit traceability

         Enforce purchase approval workflows and authorization matrices in accordance with internal controls and delegation of authority (DOA)

    Asset Lifecycle, Warranty & AMC Management

         Oversee computer equipment asset tracking, warranty documentation, and AMC/support contract lifecycle management

         Manage warranty claims, RMA processes, and vendor-led repair or replacement coordination

         Partner with IT and warehouse teams on inventory planning, safety stock levels, and replenishment cycles

    Compliance, Risk & Contract Governance

         Ensure full procurement compliance with statutory and tax regulations (GST, TDS) and applicable import/customs requirements

         Draft, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts, purchase agreements, and service-level agreements (SLAs)

         Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risk, including single-source dependency and component shortage exposure

         Maintain audit-ready documentation to support internal, statutory, and customer-driven audits

    Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

         Deliver periodic procurement MIS reports, spend analytics, and cost-savings dashboards to senior leadership

         Track and report against defined procurement KPIs and OKRs

         Champion digitization and process automation initiatives (e-procurement, e-sourcing platforms) to enhance efficiency and governance

         Drive continuous improvement in procurement policy, process, and supplier governance frameworks

Requirements

         5+ years of progressive experience in computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories procurement, preferably within an IT services, systems integration, or equipment distribution environment

         Demonstrated, comprehensive knowledge of computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories categories: desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment, storage systems, peripherals, and related components

         Established track record of OEM and distributor relationship management

         Hands-on proficiency with ERP/procurement platforms (Odoo, SAP MM, or equivalent)

         Proven history of delivering measurable cost savings through strategic sourcing and negotiation

     

    Good to Have:

         MBA or postgraduate diploma in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or Operations

         Professional certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) is an added advantage

         Prior experience in pharma, logistics, warehouse automation, or government-sector procurement

         Familiarity with e-procurement/e-sourcing platforms and digital procurement tools
