Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cross-cultural communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
Understanding of technical specifications of electronic/electrical components.
Ability to manage multiple overseas vendors and deliver under tight timelines.
Knowledge of incoterms, customs clearance, and freight forwarding processes.
Handle procurement of electronic/electrical components from overseas vendors, primarily across APAC regions (China, Taiwan, Singapore, etc.).
Manage purchase requisitions received from various departments and release purchase orders after management approval within agreed timelines.
Identify, source, and develop overseas vendors for both new and regular requirements to achieve better lead times, quality, and competitive pricing.
Maintain accurate purchase records and documentation in ERP systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and international trade norms.
Collect and evaluate technical and commercial information from multiple overseas suppliers before finalizing procurement.
Negotiate effectively with overseas vendors on pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.
Continuously explore and develop new sourcing opportunities across APAC to optimize cost, quality, and lead time.
Coordinate with QA/concerned departments for sample approvals and quality clearances before final procurement.
Monitor and manage import-related documentation (incoterms, shipping terms, customs compliance, freight forwarding, etc.).
Regular follow-ups with overseas vendors for on-time delivery, rejection handling, rework/replacement, and payment settlements.
Collaborate with internal accounts/finance teams on LCs, advance payments, debit/credit notes, and foreign remittance processes.
Stay updated on global market trends, currency fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting international procurement.
Communicate clearly and professionally in English with international suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in international/overseas procurement, preferably in APAC markets.
Exposure to sourcing from China and other APAC countries will be a strong advantage.
Good written and verbal communication in English
