• Strong understanding of basic electrical concepts including wire analogy, current flow, grounding principles, and load balancing.
• Knowledge of AC machines, motors, VFDs, and industrial switchgear components (MCBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays, isolators, etc.).
• Ability to read, interpret, and design wiring layouts and electrical schematics for commercial and residential-level electrical systems.
• Hands-on capability to measure electrical parameters including AC/DC voltage, current, power factor, frequency, and load analysis using appropriate measuring instruments (multimeter, clamp meter, megger, etc.).
• Skilled in cable selection based on load, voltage drop, insulation type, and application, along with cable routing planning and procurement of electrical materials.
• Knowledge and implementation of safety standards as per IEC, NEC, and IE (Indian Electricity) rules, including grounding systems and PPE usage.
• Good understanding of single-phase and three-phase power systems, neutral and earthing requirements, and power distribution logic.
• Familiar with electrical installation work including conduit routing, panel assembly, termination, and power/control wiring.
• Ability to create and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD), panel layouts, BOQ preparation, and load distribution charts.
• Knowledge of UPS systems, DG synchronization, inverter systems, and backup power configurations in industrial environments.
• Experience with or willingness to learn AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting tools for layout and routing diagrams.
• Understanding of lighting design calculations including lux levels for warehouse, emergency lighting, and energy-efficient solutions (LED-based systems).
• Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for electrical systems and warehouse automation equipment.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for execution and quality compliance.
• Strong documentation skills for maintaining as-built drawings, testing reports, commissioning checklists, and material tracking.
• Site work is a mandatory part of this role, including supervision, installation monitoring, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.
